What does it mean by 'drop-in'?

We are holding both English and Cantonese drop-in programs.

It means that you don't have to book in advance, or tell anyone that you are planning to attend. You can just turn up/show up/drop in.

As a phrasal verb, it's "to drop in"
As an adjective, it's "drop-in"

We have a drop-in centre for homeless people.
I want to go to drop-in classes because I don't want to book for a whole year.
