1) During the day light saving clocks are advanced an hour, After day light saving is over they are adjusted back an hour.

2) Advance your clock five minutes because it is five minutes slow. Adjust your clock five minutes back it is five minutes fast.

3) Advance your clock ten minutes and match it with my clock because mine's time is accurate.

Could you please check my sentences? These are related to real situations.

During daylight savings time, clocks are set an hour ahead. When it ends, they are set back to standard time.

1. During daylight savings time, clocks are adjusted forward an hour and backward to standard time when it is over.

We don't adjust clocks backward to standard time during daylight saving time. I'd revise this one, Andrew.

No, the clocks are adjusted back after daylight savings are over typically in the Fall.

That's right, but the quoted sentence says the backward adjustment happens during daylight saving time.

Could you please check my sentences? How about these two sentences?

We cannot use "advance" in this context am I correct? I read it in Wikipedia so that is why I asked you.
