What's the correct sentence?
He is banned from earth.
He is banned from the earth.

Technically, we have only one earth - our earth.
So I'm not sure if the is better...

In some sort of science fiction writing, where he can be on Mars or Neptune, but not Earth, I'd use Earth as the proper name, and no "the."

He was banned from Earth. (Hope he likes the weather on Jupiter.)
