EF English First.- working for them...!

Has anybody completed a one month course at an EF English school to learn TESOL, and on completion worked in China or Indonesia for up to one year ?
I am interested to do this course, but would like some feed back if possible,from people who have done this !!

I haven't any experience of them. If you just want to do their course to go there for a year, it sounds fine, but if you wantto work for other people, it might not be a recognised qualificaton as it's in-house, unlike the CTEFLA, etc.;-)

E. F. in China is unlike E.F. anywhere else. Each franchise is operated by a local Chinese. The certification is "in house" and of little or no value elsewhere.

There are far more negative comments published on various forums than positive ones. Have a look at Dave's ESL Cafe for instance, or Schoolwatch.

However, on the plus side, E.F. in China is a good way to get your feet wet in China and then you can move on to a better position. Maybe "wet" will be your tears but they will be very educational tears.
