end in/ end by[with]

Hello there!

Would you tell me the difference in the usage or nuance or whatever between "end in" and "end by[with]"?

"End in" is more likely to refer to duration, while "end by" is more likely to refer to a specific time.

end in:
  • It is going to end in seven days.

end by
  • It is going to end by Friday.
