I always think then one could enters a password ON some control panel. But then a quick search on the web returned sentences of the following type:
"The password was entered FROM a different control panel."
Could this use of 'from', in place of 'on', be a nonstandard usage popularized by the web(google)? Or does 'from' add unusual meanings to the sentence?
