I would like to have some basic knowledge of every language; it may be that someday I'd be interested in one and learn a third language. I think being a linguist wouldn't hurt...:-D

How about this: How do you ask

What's English expression in Spanish?

'Cómo te llamas?' could be translated as 'What are you called?', which sounds rather unnatural for me.

'Cuál es tu nombre?' can be translated directly as 'What's your name?

'What's English expression in Spanish?' = Cómo se dice English expression en español?

And I'm curios... Do the slashes above the vowel really make a difference?

And will I pronounce all these expressions as I see it, like when I see Como se dice ... is this pronounced as /ko-mo - see- di-se/:?:

Yes, the slashes above the vowels do make a difference. They are called 'acento' (stress) and they mark the stress in the word:

Cómo = / 'ko-mo /

Although not every word in Spanish needs to have a stress in spelling, they do have a stressed syllable in pronunciation:

dice = / 'di-se /

The pronunciation of consonants and vowels in Spanish is simpler than in English. eg: while in English you have different e's, in Spanish we have only one and it is pronounced in the same way in any word carrying an 'e'.

'Como se dice' = /ko-mo - se - di-se/

fair enough.
