I read this sentence from a newspaper. this is the very first line of the article entitled "Don't care about grammar on Twitter; Watch Out".

"John Cusack tweets with his iPhone and, much like the characters he plays, he style is fast and loose."

What is the meaning of "fast and loose" here?
