fear of cockroach

Could you please check this sentence. I am not sure about using correct verb tenses in this example:

About few days ago, while/when I was busing doing my tasks at work, suddenly, I started screaming and then ran out of my room as quickly as possible as a result of seeing a cockroach on the floor approaching to me.

You can use either 'while' or 'when'. The sentence is unnatural, though. Try: 'A few days ago I was busy working when I saw a cockroach approaching me on the floor. I started screaming and ran out of the room as quickly as possible' or 'A few days ago, while I was busy working, I saw a cockroach...'
