your final question is exactly what I want.I want more information about different forms of writing(or place) a poem on a page.horizontally, vertically or else....
and about lay out:
I rewrite it exactly from Angelica s post that is written on sympathy s "A Pilgrim's Solace! Help!" thread at one of Sub-Forums of Learning English that is Literature.
here: 3)One more question: Why are the final two lines indented? I don't know where you found this particular verse, but it is a technique of laying out poetry on a page. It is not necessary to the poem in this case.
you can ask from her. Thanks.
In fact I post this thread there but now I see it is here!!why??
You can "display" - (lay out) your poem any way you want to! Some people put (pictures) graphics around the lines. I have seen graphics run all though the line. Your poem can be placed at any place on the page. The most important thing is for people to be able to read it.
Because the question is about poetry and the way it is written/presented, you are more likely to have good answers in this forum, which is for matters relating to poems. I hope some more people will have ideas for you.
