"Findings from extant studies indicate that urbanization-driven land-use change within many coastal locations have shown to be advancing rapidly across a global scale."
Do you think the above sentence is grammatical? It sounds a bit strange to me.
I'd say:
1) Findings from extant studies indicate that urbanization-driven land-use change within many coastal locations is advancing rapidly across a global scale.
2) In extant studies, urbanization-driven land-use change within many coastal locations is shown to be advancing rapidly across a global scale.
Whay do you say?
"Findings from extant studies indicate that urbanization-driven land-use change within many coastal locations have shown to be advancing rapidly across a global scale."
