Are the following definition correct?

To get someone to do something is to succeed in convincing or persuading them to do it.
To get someone doing something is to succeed in convincing or persuading them to establish the doing of it as a habit or to begin to do it or take the first steps toward doing it.

Now can we apply the definition above to the following underlined part?


Sam! What are you still doing here?
I’m almost done!
You’re gonna be late for school!
I’ll get there! Fiona goes ballistic if I don’t finish!
Fiona (Sam's stepmother) has got you getting up at the crack of dawn like some kind of rooster! Your dad would want you at school not here!
