Please explain the meaning of "flat structure" in the following senence: " In India, we ae uniquely placed to empower our employees due to our flat structure and the independence provided by one of the most localised global operations." I read this in an advertisement of a multinational company.

It means a decentralized organization with only one or two levels of management.

From this sentence, it seems that it is talking about the structure of the company. The employee is seen to have as much power as any other person in the company. There would be no "higher" management levels with assistants, bosses, owners, etc. Some companies are top-heavy with management and the employee is seen as "below" management.
