Flip-flop there is probably being used in the sense of a reversal. A flip-flop of a schedule probably means that the times were changed.

Please post the question in the posting.

"Air Marshal is a three-star rank in the Royal Air Force. It is the second most senior rank active in the RAF today, after the inactivation of Marshal of the Royal Air Force as a substantive rank in peacetime during defence cuts of the 1990s.

"It is equivalent to the British military ranks of Lieutenant General and Vice Admiral in seniority."

"Brit.
an air force officer of a rank comparable to an army lieutenant general."
