In other parts of the world, it may be considered __1______ to make an appointment too far in advance because plans made for a date more than a week away may be ______2_____.

1. A. foolish B. impossible
2. A. changeable B. forgotten

The answers to both blanks are "foolish", "forgotten", which I can understand.

But I also think "impossible" and "changeable" also fit in.

Am I right?

Thanks!

PS: Merry Christmas to all teachers! Thanks for your constant help!

'Impossible' fits, but 'changeable' doesn't.

Where are you getting these questions from? They all have something odd or unnatural about them.

thanks for your help!

Just confirm whether they are natural or not? If not, I will throw the rubbish exercise away!

Happy Christmas!

As far as I'm concerned, "foolish" fits best for #1 but "impossible" does not. Both "changeable" and "forgotten" could fit in #2 but mean different things.
