b. Salesman: This lotion is really soothing. Just try it on yourself. - Something you apply, something you put on, tested on you.
b2. Salesman: Hmm. Is she close to your size? Oh, she's just a little smaller? How about you just try it on yourself and see how it fits. If it's just a tiny bit snug, it's probably right for her, don't you think? And if it's loose on you, it will be too big for her. - Clothing for someone else, not you.
