I've read the proper definition of frolic, but I'm not really sure if I completely understood it.

Is it like playing or acting like a child or a gay?

Like overacting? being childish?

Thanks.

Hum, I don't think it has anything to do with gays. AFAIK it refers to people or animals happily playing around. It involves joy, movement, and some excitement. Thus, kids, or dogs, are more likely to frolic than a group of senators.
