gerund or continious tense?

Nicole: do you hear kevin will come here this weekend?
Peter: really?
Nicole: i not sure. he rang me saying that.

saying here is a gerund or a continious tense?

Nicole: Do you hear Kevin will come here this weekend?

It sounds odd to me to use "Do" for this "one time action". The present simple is used for habitual/routine events.

Nicole: Have you heard Kevin will come here this weekend?
