Hi! Everyone.
I would like to ask a meaning of a phrase, "get to", which is from a lyrics "Now I never never get to clean up the mess I made". I have looked up some dictionaries. It has several meanings, but I don't know which one is suitable here. Does it mean"start to clean up", or"finish cleaning up"? And what does it mean as in "never get to know"?
Thanks!

Hi hotapplepie
I suppose It means "I 've got no time or I have not enough time to clean up the mess I made"
I hope It would be useful.

It's not exactly the same as "get to know". It's the same as "get around to doing something"; "reach the point where I start to do something".
