Are my sentence grammatically correct?

Gina was disappointed when she received her first salary. It would hardly cover her costs of living. She faced a dilemma about whether to live in London and struggle with her economy, or move to the north and have a better live, but be far away from her family and friends.

Write paycheck, not "salary".
