I wonder if there is a subtle difference between "1" and "2".
1. How about going to my place? My parents and sister are out for a week.
2. How about coming to my place? My parents and sister are out for a week.

If you are saying it to someone when you are together, you could use either. In the first one you are saying "How about (us) going (together) to my place..." In the second you are saying "How about coming (with me) to my place..."
If you are at home and talking to your friend on the phone, use #2.
