Hello teachers,

This is my first post here.

May I ask two questions regarding the sentence below?

Everyone has probably had the experience of feeling like everything is going along just fine, and then something happens to completely change all that.

First Q: Does 'going along' mean 'to continue to happen or develop'?

Second Q: Can 'feeling as if/as though' be used as alternatives to 'feeling like'?

Thanks so much.

Hello Sarah-Betty, and welcome to the forum. :)
First question: Does 'going along' mean 'to continue to happen or develop'?
It means functioning/operating/behaving, etc.

Second question: Can 'feeling as if/as though' be used as alternatives to 'feeling like'?
In the above, yes.
