4) The report will be ready in a few minutes. I believe the last figures (to look up) now. (???)
5) We are so glad the party is going to be held at last. We WERE LOOKING FORWARD to it for a month.
6) Excuse me, I WAS LOOKING at you for such a long time because your face seems familiar to me. I have a feeling that we MET somewhere before.

8) Will you come round and have a look at the coat which my sister HAS just BOUGHT? The material is excellent and it (to wear) for ages, I think.

It WAS BROKEN all yesterday evening and the passengers had to put on candles.

11) When I SAW her last, she WAS WEARING a well-cut sleeveless dress. I don't think she HAD BEEN WEARING it long. It looked quite new.

12) The teacher told the student to look up the rule himself as it WAS EXPLAINED many times. "You WERE inattentive while it WAS BEING EXPLAINED" - he said.

13) When I came into the hall, a new film WAS BEING SHOWED. I was sorry that I HADN'T BEEN TOLD about the show before as the end IMPRESSED me greatly.

14) A new stadium HAD BEEN BUILT opposite our house lately, and my brother says that the number of people taking part in sporting events there INCREASED.

15) If there aren't any tickets left when we reach the front of the queue, we HAVE BEEN WAITING all this time for nothing.

Either one is okay. Sounds very BrE so as to how common one is over the other, I'm not sure.

Neither of them was right as you had written them. They needed the passive and I've added what was needed, in blue.

Possibly, "I believe the last figures are being looked up now".

That's okay. Since it shows a continuing period of "looking forward to it", we'd often choose the present perfect continuous.

We've been looking forward to it for a month.

Same here. Your examples are okay but the present perfect could also be used. I've been looking at you ... I have a feeling that we've met ... .

My guess is that it's "... and it wears for ages".

I'm not sure of the intent here so I can't comment. It could be, " all the guest had been iontroduced to each other, some of them were dancing and some were singing in the next room" In other words, we didn't wait for Peter, the party was in full swing.

The context is very important. That determines what the speaker chooses as to structure.

I HAD FELT rather poor lately, so this morning at nine I WENT to see my doctor. I FOUND him alone in his waiting-room, where he STOOD surveying a pile of magazines. "All alone?" - I SAID. "What DO you DO to your patients? (??? - dunno, what tense is correct here?) DO you CURE them all?" "The reason why people DON'T CROWD into this room now is that on Wednesday I DON'T BEGIN consultations here until half past ten. Such IS my habit for the last twenty-five years." "I am sorry I CAME too early," - I say, "I'll go away and come back later." "Oh, no! I PREFER early patients to the last ones. In the course of my practice I NOTICED that the late-comers ARE usually not serious cases. Many people COME (ARE COMING???) to a doctor for sympathy, you know. They ARE like a dog that once CAME here with a sore paw; I BANDAGED it for him and while I WAS DOING this he WAS LOOKING at me with great lonely eyes. He CAME back the next day and every day until his paw IS (WAS???) well. I FOUND OUT that his master HAD GONE away and a kindly couple WAS LOOKING after the dog. He WAS MISSING his master and WANTED special sympathy. So, although, he WAS well, he TOOK to coming to see me two or three times a week. He is old now but he still COMES."
