Could you help me correct my sentence ?

Replace had better with should. Try: "My sister should give her worn out clothes to poor people, as I do with mine."

It ("had better") seems to me more like a command than a suggestion or something in the way of advice. (Thanks for giving me an example.)

(Perhaps others will offer some comments on this one.)

I think the answer is 'as I do'. For the preposition, I wouldn't use that phrase at all, but would say 'with mine' and get rid of 'relation'. ;-)
