Recently I attended a communications workshop with my work. One of the exercises we did was to match similar phrases that each of us held to find our partner. These phrases that had the same meanings contained identical letters, but different words. What is the grammatical term for this?

Hello Unreg,

"Identical letters but different words" could describe anagrams.

For example, spam and maps are anagrams (and palindromes) of each other.

Is that what you meant?

Best wishes,

MrP
