Usually not with highways.

In BE I think we'd usually say "The KAKA highway", except of course we have motorways and main roads, not highways. ;-)

Interesting. We would say: Take Sunrise Highway east for 6 miles; then take Grand Central Parkway north. In a shortened form, we would say: Take the Sunrise then the Grand Central.

Of course there are exceptions. We take the Long Island Expressway and the West Side Highway, probably because they have place names in the title.

I m still not very clear about this. Let me post 1 more question,
"Windows are of glass panel"...do we to put "The" in front of the Windows?

It depends- if we are talking about windows in general, then we wouldn't use the artcile. If we were talking about, say, a speciific building, we would.;-)

It still depends. If the report deals with particlar windows, one should use "the windows". If the report deals with unspecified windows, the article might be dropped.

Example 1: The living room windows are large and face east.

Example 2: Windows were installed in the kitchen during a recent renovation.
