What does hard information mean in this context?
More than a day after the Algerian army launched an assault to seize the remote desert compound, much was still unclear about the number and fate of the victims, leaving countries with citizens in harm's way struggling to find hard information.
Foreigners still caught in Sahara hostage crisis | News , Middle East | THE DAILY STAR
I guess that it means information that has solid facts.
But I also wonder if there is soft information that means information with no solid facts.
