The BBC's Pentagon correspondent Nick Childs reports that the ground attack on Baghdad has yet to begin and that troops may be delayed a few days as bad weather, including sandstorms, closes in.

What does it mean? "has not begun" ? Can it be replaced with another
phase? Many thanks! :snipersm:

I think you're correct. "Has yet to begin" implies that it has not started yet.

'Have yet to' is a more formal way of saying 'haven't yet'
