"The last two nights in Las Vegas have been wonderful."
Is this sentence grammatically correct? I think it's better to use past simple as the last two nights are finished now.

Past simple would be more appropriate. If you change last to past, the present perfect works well.

This brings up a question I have had for years: at the end of a TV show, you often hear an announcer say something like "This has been an XYZ production." Why don't they use the simple past? "This was an XYZ production" sounds more appropriate to my ears.
