In my region, there has been a change in the number of years of studying at university, from a 3-year curriculum to a 4-year. Very often I have to tell people this year-one(by the way, in America I guess it is called freshman or first-year; I'm not sure whether in England it is called first-year) student is ON/IN the 3/4-year curriculum.

I hope to know whether native English speakers will say so; and can I say someone is a 3/4-year student when he is studying here for 3/4 years?

If there are any other ways of expressing the same meaning, please let me know.

Thank you very much.

In the UK, it's a "three-year degree" or a "four-year degree". We wouldn't use the word curriculum in that context or example.

This student is doing a three-year degree.

This student is doing a three-year degree.

Thanks.

In the UK, will you say 'with the implementation of the 4-year curriculum', etc.?

It depends on context. Can you give us a full sentence with that in?

Sometimes departments of the university will send us an email which starts with With the implementation of the 4-year curriculum, we expect...; I had that question because I was not sure whether curriculum is not used in any context in the UK or not used in that particular context only.

Yes, we use curriculum , but we normally speak of an x-year degree (as ems said) or course.
