Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? People should sometimes do things that they do not enjoy doing. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

I agree that people should sometimes do things they do not enjoy doing because they are the basis of life. Doing things we do not enjoy at the time may turn out to be fun later. Moreover, those things can be requirements that we have to meet in life.

No one like to do the dishes-washing or lawn-mowning. However, if we ignored them, our lives would be a mess. Some people might be rich enough to hire a lawn-mowner but not many can get enough money to buy new dishes for every meal. Instead of wasting money on those extravagances, we can conserve them for future use. Nobody knows what is wating ahead of their life.

We hate doing something we do not like but if we find interest in doing them, out curiosity may develop. A good English student who always love to learn new languages might easily get bored when it comes to Math. However, if he feels that Math is a game with numbers, he then tries to spare time to learn both English and Math well. Remembering that Math is also a compulsory subject at school, together with language, he may top his school just by doing things he previously does not like!

Everyone has a tendency to avoid doing difficlut taks. Nobody wants to die for others. However if one's daughter falls to the river and she does not know how to swim, can her father just let her die? He - of all costs- will sacrify his life even though he does not want to for the life of his daughter. Likewise, not everyone likes fighting against people, but what if their country are invaded, can they just sit still and ingore them? Thus, everyone at times has to overcome their far in order to get a hard task done.

So to speak, people have to do things even if they do not like. Those things can help them grow up and benefit them in many ways.

When to use life as uncountable noun? (additional question)

"No one like to do the dishes-washing or lawn-mowning."
sounds better: No one likes to wash dishes or mow the lawn.

"hire a lawn-mowner"
Sounds better: hire someone to mow the lawn
Usually, lawnmower refers to the equipment, not the person using the mower.

"wating" = waiting

"out curiosity" = our curiosity

"student who always love to learn" = student who always loves to learn

The word math should not be capitalized.

"he previously does not like!" = he previously did not like!"

difficlut = difficult

"of all costs"
should be: at all costs

"sacrify"
should be: sacrifice

"what if their country are invaded, can they just sit still and ingore them"
what if their country were invaded, could they just sit still and ignore them

"overcome their far"
overcome their fear

Hi Tina,
many thanks for yours
The fact is I typed it in a rush and did not check so there must be lots of typos.
However, can we use the word: Math or must be Mathematics?

If you want to be very formal you could use mathematics, but for most instances, the word math is acceptable.
