If I just hand over sentences, does that really help you? It's better if you try and make mistakes first. Learning often comes from mistakes.

I got him to acquiesce in the end despite his earlier opposition.

Does that help greatly? You should try to push ahead rather than staying in a comfort zone- if you don't take risks, then it will make it more difficult for you. Of course, I can make sentences with all those words, but I won't be taking any exam or rtequired to show that I can. Have a bash and make some mistakes- it's part of the learning process. ;-)
