I would like to have a book that explains the grammar rules in a similar format provided below: If a verb follows to, it is called an iinfinitive phrase and is not the main verb. You will find the main verb either before or after the infinitive phrase. example I like to walk.
When requested to pick out a particular part of speech in a sentence, it would be helpful for me to have the rule, or guide, or clear explanation as to how you determine parts of speech.
If you can provide any guidance, I would really appreciate it very much.
