I asked myself if I would have done anything differently in the past if I had a chance and I would not because I did not have the right information to decide.

would => could (I think 'could' is better)
had => had had
did not have => had not had

would => could (I think 'could' is better) I think 'would' is better. He certainly 'could' if he 'had a chance'. The problem is if he 'would'.
had => had had
did not have => had not had I think it was OK as it was. But let's wait for a native speaker's opinion.
