Hi there,

How can I pronounce the 'you' after 'help' , 'helped' and 'tell'? Does 'p', 'ed' and 'l' will link 'you' when pronouncing them?

Thanks
pete

It does not usually elide.

help you - the "p" is distinct from the "you".

Are you finding it difficult?

Hi there,

Will the sound of 'you' change when it goes with 'helped and told' as in the case of 'thank you'?

Thanks
pete

If you are pronoucing the helped," with a strong "ed" athen it might affect words that come after.

Actually, "helped" is pronounced help"tuh"

Susie, it still wouldn't/shouldn't change the sound of the word following. And in my opinion helped is properly ponounced help-'t', not -'tuh'.
