Could anyone please help me with the following in bold?
1. I like the way Jorge Mesquita, president of P&G'd global home care business, expresses this challenge.
In the dictionary, "home care" is defined as "health care provided in the patient's home by health care professionals or by family and friends." Is this what the above means? Does P&G actually engage in this kind of business? Or does "home care" in the above have another meaning, like the business associated with the products used in the home?
2. I've learned the hard way that people who are working on short-term tasks while simultaneously trying to work on upstream innovation rarely have the time to add brilliant new ideas to the product itself.
What does "upstream" mean in the above context?
3. As I write this, Tide's volume market share is close to its all-time high of 30% (its value share is about 40%).
Does "volume" in the above refer to "sales volume"? Can "volume market share" also be said as just "volume share?" And what is "value share"?
Thank you.
