Hello, I have a question: The uncle an English speaking friend of mine (he lives in Spain) is really sick. We're not super tight friends, but I still want to show my friend my support... How can you do this the best in English? 'i wish you and your family strength' ? OR: 'I wish you and your family the best of strength?' Or something else? I don't know what is normally said in those situations in the English language. I'm not familiar enough with the language in that area...
Thank you,
Imme

Re: How to say ...

I hope he gets well soon.

I'm praying for him. (Especially if you really are.)

Or both.

Re: How to say ...

Hello, I have a question: The uncle of an English-speaking friend of mine (Delete "he lives in Spain." It's not clear which one lives there, and it doesn't make a difference for your question.) is really sick. We're not super-tight friends, but I still want to show my friend my support. How can I do this well in English? 'I wish you and your family strength'(no space)? Or: 'I wish you and your family the best of strength?' Or something else? I don't know what is normally said in those situations in the English language. I'm not familiar enough with the language in that area.
Thank you,

Really, anything you want to say will be fine as long as it's heartfelt. We have an important saying in English: It's the thought that counts.
