[Vocabulary] How can I use these vocabulary ?

These words, as found their definitions are close,however, I'm still not sure about their use. The vocabulary are: narcotic and anesthetic. Could someone tell me what are their suitable use?

Can you post the definitions you have found and show how close they are? By the way, the BrE (and I believe Commonwealth English) spelling is anaesthetic.

Note that 'these vocabulary' is incorrect. You mean 'these words', and since the words in question are 'narcotic' and 'anaesthetic', that would have been a better thread title.
