Teachers,

Suppose you are on a city bus and want to ask the driver how much more time does it take to get to where you wanna go, how would you ask the driver?* Please give me good and common expressions, using "Chinatown" as your destination.

Thank you.

Here is a case where the situation is such that two structures are possible. Blouen's examples are fine but you could also use 'will'.

How long will it take to get to Chinatown?

How much longer will it take to get to Chinatown?

With 'will' the speaker is focused on "this one time" whereas with 'does' the focus is shifted to "how long it takes on a routine basis".
