Hi,

How should I abbreviate a name?

Akram Shahid

Should it be A.S. or A.S?

Untaught, I'm certain you have been on the forum long enough to know that we don't start a question with "How to ...". Please edit your post. Once you've done that, a moderator can edit your title. Also, there is no need to capitalise both letters in "Hi".

Re: How to abbreviate a name

Two abbreviation styles are used. Either follow each initial with a period ("full stop" in British English) or simply set each one in upper case. I.e., "A.S." or "AS".
