[General] how to describe "a part of a group"?

Hi everyone,

I found a powerful application with many new features, I want to say:

"Those features I have used are just a small part of all its new features."

I think this is wrong. But really don't know how to describe. Thanks.

1) my concern is, can i use "are" for "a" subet? or "are small subsets?". I am confused.
2) I really want to describe how "small" I know, and how "powerful" this application is.

1. Yes, you can say "they are a subset."
2. If you want to emphasize the relative smallness, I would use "fraction." "Small subset" doesn't sound natural to me.

The features I have used are just a tiny fraction of all of the new features.
