How to express the number of times you've been on an airplane?

I often had this problem. I simply don't know what is the normal,natural way to express the idea, for example: I've been on a plane for about 60 times/I've traveled by air for 60 times... But they both sound so awkward and I believe in speaking English that's got to be a more natural way of saying it.

I've traveled by air 60 times in the last 10 years.

I've been on an airplane 60 times in the last 10 years.

don't use the word "for" in your sentence
