Hi, Joe. Practising speech on your own isn't always that easy, but imagine yourself in a specific situation and try to imagine what your answers would be. Take an interview and answer the same questions and look at the diffences.;-)

I for one talk to my cat, and when she doesn't like what she hears she yawns and gives me a taste of her terrible breath.
I know of at least one teacher who seemed to use the same technique. Kung-fu English teaching?

try going to the library and borrowing drama books, or books that contains english dialogs

watching tv helps,
record the show and practice their speech
