This is about the lyrics of "I Am Woman" by Helen Reddy.

I am woman, hear me roar
In numbers too big to ignore

Q1: Isn't "a" necessary before "woman"? Why?
Q2: What does "in numbers too big to ignore" mean? The number of women is too big to ignore?

Thank you.

I believe what is meant by "woman" is "womankind" (as they say over here in Thailand, "same-same mankind, but different"!)
Q2: Yes, I believe so.

An important thing to remember is that song lyrics are frequently not good examples of grammatical English. Do not use them to study correct English.
