I deposited a check to my account and would like to know whether it has been cashed or not?

Is it a correct sentence?

It's not a question, so it should end with a full stop (period).

I would use "cleared" too but not "has been cleared". Here, it would just be "... if it has cleared".

Good point.

And for Tufguy- we don't use cashed here because it is not a transaction involving physical cash. You cash a cheque when you take it into the bank and they give you the cash.
