Hi,

The call is an inbound trunk call from Network Region A that terminates at the remote extension in Network Region B. The issue for the application is whether it is more efficient to use a recording a device in Network Region A or Network Region B to record the call.

The above sentences are from a technical document, I don't understand the meaning of "terminates" in this case,
Please help to explain the meaning of "terminates" in detail.

The call is made on a network. The network has two ends. The call originates in region A and ends in region B. That's the path the signal takes.
