Hello,
A non-native ESL teacher says that Sentence 1 is wrong and should be Sentence 2, the reason being that in Sentence 1, there are too many sense verbs.
1. I feel (like) I heard his footsteps.
2. I thought I heard his footsteps.
Should I accept their correction?
