I hope that everybody will realise the importance of racial harmony.

Should it be 'realise' instead of 'will realise'?

Thanks.

It can be either will realise or realises. The meaning is different: the first expresses an aspiration for the future; the second, a hope for the present.

Both realises and will realise could apply to the future.
