i need some explanation about the use of (although) , (despite) , and (despite of)

i need it as fast as you can!!!

All of them imply a contrast, the difference is their use. For example:

Although he is rich, he is very unhappy. (A finite clause follows)
Despite being rich, he is very unhappy. (An ing- non-finite clause follows)
In spite of being rich, he is very unhappy. (NOT "despite of") (An ing- non-finite clause follows)
