I was with Kris, a friend of mine, in the newly opened mall. I left the mall at 2:30 pm because I had class at 3:00 pm. However, I forgot the time and it should be 3:30. The class starts at 3:30. Then I told Kris "I remembered the wrong time; the class begins at 3:30".

I wonder if the italic sentence is natural.

I would say:

I remembered it wrong.

I was with my friend, Kris, [STRIKE]a friend of mine, in the newly opened[/STRIKE] at the mall, and I left the mall at 2:30 pm because I thought I had a class at 3:00 pm. However, [STRIKE]I forgot the time and it should be 3:30.[/STRIKE] the class starts at 3:30. [STRIKE]Then[/STRIKE] Later, I [STRIKE]told[/STRIKE] phoned Kris and told him "(It turned out that) I didn't need to leave that early (after all). [STRIKE]remembered the wrong time;[/STRIKE] The class begins at 3:30".
Try that.
